We recommend wines traditionally produced from choice varieties of grapes from the K & K Vasilikon winery in Kathikas, only 6 kilometres from Zucchini’s door. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 650 meters above sea level, which provides a perfect climate for the vines.

Vasilikon, our favourite white wine, is produced from the indigenous variety ‘Xynisteri’ which is cultivated in the K & K family vineyards. The wine is distinguished by it’s greenish yellow colour and crystal clarity and it’s fruity aroma of apricot and peach gives it’s fresh and balanced taste as well as it’s dominant and long-lasting aftertaste.

Ayios Onoufrios is a fruity red made from varieties of Mavro, Ofthalmo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Mataro, again grown in their own vineyards in Kathikas. It has a deep purple colour, a vivid aroma and a fruity, perfumed aftertaste. It is a wonderful accompaniment to both meat and cheese, and in the hot summer months may also be enjoyed chilled, when it is most refreshing.

Specialist champagnes are available to order, but for larger parties we recommend Maison Pierre de Changvigné Brut Excellence vin mousseux which is an excellent dry French sparkling wine.
